The Seafood Pub Company team celebrated at the Cheshire Life and Lancashire Life Food and Drink Awards after receiving two top awards.

The Oyster & Otter in Feniscowles was named the Lancashire Life Restaurant of the Year whilst Joycelyn Neve, the Seafood Pub Company’s managing director, was presented with the Lancashire Life Food and Drink Hero of the Year title.

“We had a fantastic night at the event at in Manchester,” said Joycelyn. “Independent reviewers had visited the Oyster & Otter to get a feel for the venue and our menu so we are delighted that they agreed with what we know about it and all of our venues: that they deliver the best quality ingredients in a relaxed and accessible way.

“The Food Hero award was a total surprise but it is reward for the hard work of all of our teams. Without their commitment and belief in the Seafood Pub Company’s vision, we would not be as successful as we are.”

In addition to The Oyster & Otter, other sites in the Seafood Pub Company group are The Assheton Arms in Downham, Clitheroe; The Fenwick in Claughton, Lancaster; the Farmers Arms in Great Eccleston, Fylde and the Derby Arms in Thornley, Longridge.

This month the Seafood Pub Company officially opened its sixth site, the Barley Mow in Pendle, after a complete transformation. The Barley Mow has become the first in a new division of pubs for the Seafood Pub Company; Pub Co – where the emphasis lies in being a proper pub.
