Pendle diners were treated to exciting cuisine, as the Barley Mow created dishes to celebrate seafood from around the world.

The pub held a World Seafood Night, giving customers the chance to try something a little different.

George Oversby, general manager at the Barley Mow said, “Events at the Barley are always really well received, and this one was no different.

“Our diners love to try interesting and diverse dishes, so the World Seafood Night was a great chance to share our love and knowledge of seafood from across the globe.”

Special dishes on the evening included choices of a robata grilled king prawn skewer, with Creole rice and caramelised lime from North America, king scallops and samphire with peas, crispy bacon and cockle dressing from Europe, and Sri Lankan tuna rolls with Asian ketchup from Asia, to name a few.

George added, “The dishes created by our chefs were packed full of interesting ingredients and flavours, giving diners a real authentic feel for worldwide cuisine.”

The Barley Mow holds various events throughout the year including a Bourbon Tasting Night, Bavarian Night and Steak Nights, plus live music on the fourth Friday of every month.
