Next month Derby Arms at Thornley, Longridge, becomes our fifth pub in little more than three years. And it will be followed shortly after, in August, by our sixth. The Barley Mow in Pendle. Something a bit different. More about that later.

But the Derby will break new ground too – as our first pub to offer accommodation. This latest contemporary village pub and destination restaurant will have three dining areas … and six bedrooms.

There’s a big buzz about the Derby. It was once one of the best pubs in the area – and it will be again. People can expect our usual trademarks with three dining rooms leading off a central bar all finished in traditional materials such as oak, flags, slate and steel. And watch out for the atmospheric tap room – softly-lit for bar games.

And you’ll be able to book online when the Derby Arms opens on at the end of July.

Sound good?
