We mix the best ingredients with great personalities and atmospheric settings, creating memorable experiences for our guests. We are especially passionate about seafood. Joycelyn, our founder, was raised around it; her father is a renowned fish merchant and the family history in fishing dates back to the 18th century. Although our food style, therefore, leans towards light, fresh seafood dishes, we also love the friendly informality of pubs and our menus feature hearty and comforting classics – ideal after a good walk!
In terms of decor, we embrace each building’s age and character while combining the olde worlde characteristics of a classic country pub with modern innovations. Old and new blend well, with atmospheric lighting and profiled music providing an energetic vibe. Our drinks merit as much attention as our food, service and surroundings. Sourced directly from the vineyard as well as from trusted suppliers, our wines compliment our various menus. Our cask beer differs from pub to pub but, with both local and regional ales available, visitors are guaranteed a pint of exceptional quality. Enjoyed with an array of garnishes and tonics, gin is a must in all our establishments.
Many of our venues offer accommodation, enabling guests to stop over and, as well as savouring our food and drink, enjoy the stunning locations in our midst. Like the pubs themselves, our bedrooms blend traditional and contemporary furnishings; comfort is assured and we offer designated dog-friendly rooms. Everything we do is underpinned by our love of people. We are genuine, passionate people and only work with like-minded souls. Running pubs is challenging and can only be done successfully by people with genuine empathy. If we didn’t care for each other, our guests, suppliers and neighbours, we would fail miserably.
