Community & Business Partners – recent winners of the CSR award at the Hive Awards – are hosting a special fundraising and celebratory event at the Oyster & Otter in Feniscowles to mark National Volunteers’ Week.
Volunteering is at the heart of CBP’s enterprises with over 250 volunteers supporting both the business and community activities each year. The fundraising lunch on Friday 9th June is an opportunity to celebrate the impact volunteers make to Community & Business Partners and thank them for their valuable contributions.
“At Community & Business Partners we are committed to helping commercial enterprises flourish as well as encouraging greater corporate social responsibility, environmental awareness and social enterprise,” said Amanda Meachin, CEO at Community & Business Partners.
“National Volunteers’ Week fits perfectly with this ethos and so provides us with the perfect opportunity to celebrate the voluntary efforts of so many individuals and businesses across Lancashire.”
Compered by Rachel Haslam, founder and director of award-winning Team Academy and a supporter of CBP for over 15 years, the fundraising lunch will include raffles and an auction as well as providing guests with networking opportunities with other local businesses. Tickets for the fundraising lunch are £25 per person with £10 from each ticket sold being donated to Charities@SAMS in Blackburn.
Charities@SAMS supports over 30 local charities, community and neighbourhood groups and good causes across Pennine Lancashire. This year’s fundraising through Charities@SAMS is on target to exceed £80k distributed throughout the year.
